The Bruford box set – consisting of four replica gatefold double CD/DVD packs in a deluxe foil-blocked box, with 12inch booklet, poster and promo photos – has sold out of its 2000 run within weeks of release.
Following the Rick Wakeman Piano Portraits tour I have been asked to work on more merchandising for a well-known rock band that will soon be celebrating it's 50th anniversary and touring worldwide. Hush-hush for now, but all will be revealed over the coming weeks.
As the return of vinyl continues I am pleased to be involved in recent projects for both The Pink Fairies and Rick Wakeman. Hopefully more vinyl is planned, as this is a great format to work on and the sound of static crackle when an LP is first slid out of it's wrapper is not only memorable, but a great reminder of how every weekend I would add another three quid's worth of music to my collection. My son is asking for a record player and I am happy to oblige, with my ulterior motive being to get the records down from the attic and see if Emerson Lake and Palmer have stood the test of time.
